From the Heart of Leadership

Welcome to the food and nutrition department. We are dedicated to serving and prescribing safe and healthy meals grounded in specialized dietetic practices and the highest food safety standards, which include HACCP and ISO certifications. Furthermore, we aim to empower patients and the general community through specialized nutritional counseling for rehabilitation and education.

This commitment extends to our hiring practices, where we ensure that all food service labor is performed by ministry-approved and certified staff.

We are dedicated to providing a safe and hygienic environment, and we implement rigorous protocols to prevent foodborne illness and ensure the well-being of everyone we serve.

We emphasize strong teamwork within our department, integrating the efforts of our Food and Nutrition sections to provide comprehensive nutritional care. Both sections work collaboratively to deliver healthy, tailored meals to patients. We value mutual respect, shared decision-making, and collaboration with other hospital departments to achieve our goals. 

 Education & Training

The Food and Nutrition Department emphasizes continuous learning and development. We support our employees' continued education and facilitate annual participation in specialized courses from the central Food and Nutrition Administration. Our food service staff also undergo semi-annual assessments and appraisals to ensure ongoing quality improvement. We support the Ministry of Health fellowship program by providing practical experience for students from the Public Authority of Applied Education and Training and facilitating initial rotations for new employees.
